Day 1: Cusco – San Pedro Cloud Forest – Pilcopata Lodge

⏱ Schedule: 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM
🏔 Altitude: 3,650 to 650 m / 11,975 to 2,132 ft
🌴 Lodging: Pilcopata Lodge (private bathroom).

Depart Cusco passing the pre-Inca towers of Ninamarca and Acjanaco pass. Descend through the San Pedro Cloud Forest to observe the brilliant Andean Cock-of-the-rock lek and woolly monkeys.

Day 2: Pilcopata – Atalaya Port – Madre de Dios River – Machuwasi Lake

⏱ Schedule: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
🏔 Altitude: 650 to 500 m / 2,132 to 1,640 ft
🌴 Lodging: Amazon Harpy Lodge.

Transfer to Atalaya Port and board a motorized boat down the Alto Madre de Dios River. In the afternoon, paddle rustic balsa rafts across Machuwasi Lake to spot hoatzins, capybaras, and caimans.

Day 3: Macaw Clay Lick – Deep Primary Jungle Hike – Canopy Zipline

⏱ Schedule: 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM
🏔 Altitude: 500 m / 1,640 ft
🌴 Lodging: Amazon Harpy Lodge.

Sunrise boat excursion to the Parrot and Macaw Clay Lick to witness hundreds of colorful birds feeding on mineral clays. Deep primary forest botanical hike and canopy zipline adventure.

Day 4: Amazon Harpy Lodge – Atalaya Port – Return to Cusco

⏱ Schedule: 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM
🏔 Altitude: 500 to 3,400 m / 1,640 to 11,150 ft
🚌 Transport: Motorized river boat & private tourist transport to Cusco.

Morning boat ride back upriver to Atalaya Port, where private ground transport awaits to drive back up through the cloud forest and arrive in Cusco by early evening.

La selva del Manu es impresionante, bastante más densa y viva de lo que imaginaba. En resumen: experiencia real de selva, sin adornos. Recomendable.

Fui al Manu con mi prima y la verdad pensé que iba a ser más “relax”, pero es full aventura de verdad 😂💚.
La selva es fuerte, intensa, te envuelve. Yo soy de Lima y no estoy muy acostumbrada a estos climas, pero igual la pasé increíble.
