This tour covers the main attractions around Cusco and unique places in the Puno region. This is not your typical tour, for example this tour allows you to visit unique places in Cusco and relatively unknown attractions around the Titicaca lako, such as the islands of Ticonata and Uros Titino.
Depending on the time of your arrival in Cusco we will coordinate the City Tour in the afternoon, starting at 1:30 p.m. This tour takes you to tourist attractions like: Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), the Cathedral, the citadel of Sacsayhuaman, and the attractions of Qenqo, Tambomachay and Pucapucara.
The City Tour starts with the pick up of the participants in their respective hotels and later transfer by tourist bus to the mentioned attractions above. It ends with the return to your hotel or in the San Francisco Plaza (3 minutes from the main square).
Note: This tour is always done when the passengers arrive in Cusco at least 1 hour before the start time. Otherwise, it will not be possible to provide this service being canceled (No Show).
First, you’ll visit the town of Pisac, where visitors can buy typical crafts of ceramics, leather and textiles made by local artisans and sold in the Artisan Market of Pisaq.
Then visit the city of Urubamba where you can enjoy a typical lunch and then continue the journey to Ollantaytambo. It is in this place where you can access the Archaeological Complex of Ollantaytambo and visit the ruins of this famous Inca citadel.
This famous Inca valley is one of the main tourist attractions of the Andean region due to its impressive landscape, its imposing snow, its pleasant climate, its fertile lands with abundant water, its ancient cultural evidences and because it offers diverse possibilities for adventure.
In the afternoon we will board the train from Ollantaytambo in the direction of Aguas Calientes where we will arrive at night. There we will spend the night in a comfortable lodging at the foot of Machu Picchu.
The visit to Machu Picchu will begin very early. You can enjoy the 2 hour guided tour in the citadel visiting the main square, the royal rooms, the 3 windows, the circular tower and the cemetery. Travelers who have booked some of the additional mountains (Huaynapicchu or Montaña viejo) will be able to access these mountains after the tour.
After the tour the passengers are free to go through the archaeological complex on their own and take all the photos, videos and enjoy the beautiful view throughout the morning.
In the afternoon you will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes and then (according to the train schedule) return to Ollantaytambo and then board the bus in the direction of Cusco.
This day starts around 8 am with transportation to the town of Capachica, about a 5 hour journey.
Then you will be transferred to the IntiWasi restaurant in the town of Chifrón where you can enjoy a typical lunch with one of the best views of this part of Lake Titicaca. Later you will take a motor boat to go to the island of Ticonata where you can enjoy a warm welcome, walk to the viewpoint (a beautiful view), visit the museum (mummies!) and around 7 pm have dinner with members of the community and finally rest in one of the beautiful houses on the island.
The day starts very early with a typical breakfast followed by boat to Uros Titino Island (floating island). This is one of the original floating islands where you can know and appreciate the customs and way of life of these inhabitants who built these artificial islands with totora (aquatic plant).
Also in these small islands you can enjoy a cultural and social environment quieter and more authentic than some of the more popular islands. You will spend the night in this beautiful island after a typical communal dinner. The next day you will return by boat to Chifrón and from there a short walk to Capachica where the transport will take you back to Cusco.
The tour pretty much concludes here.
This day is used to make the last purchases or make the transfer from your hotel to the airport or land terminal.
