Description

Treasures of Cusco is a group service that allows you to visit the main tourist attractions of Cusco in 7 days.
This tour combines history, archaeology, agriculture, gastronomy, landscapes, and adventure sports throughout one week.

Itinerary

Day 1 Cusco City Tour + Acclimatization

If your arrival time in Cusco is in the morning, we can start the service with the City Tour in the afternoon (around 1:00 p.m.) on the same day.

This group service allows you to explore the main attractions of the capital of the Inca Empire, such as the Temple of the Sun “Qorikancha,” and the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Pucapucara.

The City Tour begins with pickup from your hotel and a transfer by tourist bus to the mentioned sites, ending with your return to your hotel or to Plaza San Francisco.

Note: If you arrive in Cusco after noon, this tour will take place the following day.

Day 2Tour Chinchero + Maras + Moray

On this day, we will visit Chinchero, Moray, and Maras on a combined tour that includes hiking (approximately 2 hours) and biking (another 2 hours) along scenic trails, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and farmlands.

Chinchero is an authentic Inca village with amazing views of the snow-capped mountains Salkantay, Veronica, and Soray. Here, we will visit a traditional textile workshop before continuing to Moray, where we will explore an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory with circular terraces used to experiment with crops at different altitudes.

After that, we will visit Maras and its ancient salt mines, with impressive views along the way.

Day 3Humantay Lake

The tour to Humantay Lake begins around 4:30 a.m. with the pickup of participants from their hotels or a central meeting point. At 5:00 a.m., we depart toward Mollepata for a typical breakfast, and then continue to Soraypampa, where the hike begins.

The hike to the lake takes about two hours uphill. Once at the top, you can enjoy the stunning view of the Salkantay glacier and listen to a short informative talk. After approximately 45 minutes of free time to rest, we hike back down to Mollepata for lunch.

Finally, we return to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 p.m. at Plaza San Francisco.

Day 4Sacred Valley (Pisac & Ollantaytambo)

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, located in the Peruvian Andes, was crucial for agriculture during the Inca Empire, especially known for producing large-kernel corn, which is still cultivated in the region today. Nowadays, the valley is a major tourist destination, famous for its stunning landscapes, pleasant climate, and rich cultural heritage.

During a tour of the valley, visitors can explore archaeological sites such as Pisac and Ollantaytambo, as well as traditional markets that reflect the area’s unique cultural blend. In addition, the valley offers opportunities for adventure and experiential tourism, allowing travelers to participate in local activities and experience the daily life of Andean communities.

Days 5 & 6Inca Trail (short version)

Transfer by bus to Aguas Calientes, accommodation, and dinner.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
