The Sonqo Jungle is a 7-day private tour that allows you to visit Cusco under a comfortable service and without having to worry about accommodations, food, transportation and entrance tickets.
During this circuit, you can enjoy a real City Tour (first day), enjoy your necessary time and your accommodation in Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley Tour (second day) and finally, do the Inka Jungle Tour in Premium version (from the third day) towards the Machu Picchu for final detination. On the las day, you can relax and get ready for the transportation.
The tour includes a transfer service from your hotel to the airport or the bus terminal.
The private City Tour usually starts in the mornings at a specific time according to the availability of the participants.
This circuit allows you to visit the main tourist attractions around the historical center of Cusco such as: Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, Q’enqo, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha).
This tour is done in private transport but also includes some sections of walking to appreciate and enjoy other attractions not as popular close the historic center of Cusco.
The Sacred Valley tour starts around 8:00 am with the pick-up of participants from their hotel and transportation through the valley to the village of Pisac. Once we arrived, we can enjoy the famous ruins and its picturesque market. Then we will travel to the town of Urubamba, where we will enjoy a succulent lunch before continuing in direction of Ollantaytambo.
Ollantaytambo is an ancient stone village that is still inhabited by descendants of the ancient Incas. Ther, we will have a guided tour in the archaeological complex for about 2 hours and then, we will be transferred to our hotel where we will spend the night in a comfortable lodge waiting for the Inka Jungle tour the next day.
The tour starts around 8:00 am with the pick up of the participants and transport in direction of Abra Málaga (4,300 m), where we will begin the descent in bike, crossing several altitudinal floors until we reach the village of Santa María (1,200 m). After a succulent lunch and a short break we will do the rafting for about 3 hours.
Later we will be transported to our lodging in the town of Santa María where we will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hostel.
After a warm breakfast, we will continue our journey through an old Inca road towards the village of Kellomayo, crossing a variety of landscapes and climates, as well as picturesque plantations of coffee, cocoa, coca, corn, fruits, among others.
After a refreshing lunch we will walk for a few hours through one of the richest areas with biological diversity of Peru to reach the thermal baths of Santa Teresa (Cocalmayo). After the relaxing bath we will continue with a light walk of approximately 30 minutes until we reach the town of Santa Teresa where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
This night is used by the participants to enjoy a ‘pisco sour’ in one of the small but cozy pubs of Santa Teresa, where we will establish bonds with our group.
This day, we will do the zip line, one of the strongest and at the same time safe emotions that you will live during this excursion. Later, we will have lunch very close to the village called Hidroelectrica, before continuing on a picturesque walk along the train tracks towards the town of Aguas Calientes.
This trek will be marked by the historical description that our guide will provide during the tour of approximately 3 hours, describing the route that the great expeditionaries that discovered Machu Picchu used.
At night we will meet in a tourist restaurant where we will have a delicious dinner and coordinate with our guide the visit to the archaeological complex the next day. We will spend the last night of the tour in a comfortable hotel at the foot of the great Machu Picchu.
Around 4:00 am, we will get ready to start the climb to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu to have the opportunity to see the sunrise. After entering the archaeological complex (approximately 6:30 am), we will have guided tour of the site for about 2 hours. After the tour, we will have some free time to visit the site at our own pace.
During this free time, you will have the opportunity to climb some of the optional mountains: Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu, from where we can take the famous photographic shots.
In the afternoon, we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will rest, do the last shopping and wait for our return train. The train will take us to Ollantaytambo, where we will be picked up by another transport and transferred to Cusco, where the Inca Jungle tour ends.
This day is for transportation to airport or terrestrial terminal (bus terminal).
